Our Approach

Multilingual Chicago is a language school dedicated to honoring and promoting the multilingual nature of our city. Why only speak one language when you can speak two – or three or four, for that matter?

Our classes take a multidimensional approach to learning a foreign language with an emphasis on speaking in real-life situations.

We believe that the best way to learn a language is to open your mind, roll up your sleeves and jump in. Your instructor will speak almost exclusively in the target language, no matter what your level (don’t worry – you’ll be fine!). You’ll participate in activities like games, role play and exercises that give you an opportunity to practice the concepts you learn in class. You’ll be exposed to real language and the culture in which it’s spoken through watching films, listening to songs and reading articles – and by taking advantage of optional cultural excursions.
Most importantly, we believe that learning a language should be fun and enjoyable for everyone involved! So grab a cup of coffee or tea (or a glass of wine), make yourself comfortable, meet some interesting people and develop your ability to connect with people from across the world…or right here at home!
