Multilingual Chicago's founder is Dr. Jill Bishop,
a linguistic anthropologist with twenty years of experience teaching
language and culture both in the US and abroad. She founded Workforce
Language Services in 2005 - rebranded in 2012 as Multilingual
Connections (MC's parent company) - and has brought customized
language training to Lou Malnati’s, the Chicago Fire, Kraft,
Diana’s Bananas, the Field Museum, Yum! Brands, Cargill, Marriott,
Four Seasons, Grand Victoria Casino and many others. In addition
to her MA/PhD from UCLA (with a focus on Judeo-Spanish language
revitalization efforts in Israel), Jill’s BA was in Spanish
Education from the University of Illinois. Her academic teaching
experience includes ULCA, Kendall College, Triton Community College,
Oakton Community College, Harper College, Robert Morris College
and Maine South and East High Schools.
Our team includes Hilary Hodge (Director of Operations),
Adrienne Smith (Language Fundamentals Coordinator), Jennifer Yang
(Boot Camps and Tutoring Coordinator), Carolina Legg (Multilingual
Kids Manager), Elise Walker (Multilingual Kids Coordinator) Johana
Moscoso (Multilingual Kids Lead Teacher) - as well as dozens of
fabulous instructors. We have all lived around the world and are
